Helping young adults grow into who they’re meant to become.

Connection with Stone & Sapling Psychotherapy in Oregon

Connecting you with us

Stone & Sapling Psychotherapy exists to support young adults who feel stuck, withdrawn, or uncertain about their future as they grow into adulthood. Our mission is to provide a steady foundation for self-discovery, helping clients reconnect with their values, develop confidence in themselves, and cultivate the direction and momentum needed to build a meaningful and authentic life.

At Stone and Sapling, therapy is a partnership. I’m not a blank-faced statue nodding at a clock. I’m a real person who provides a steady, gentle space for you to finally exhale. We’ll work together to quiet the 'what-ifs' and figure out who you actually are when you aren't trying to please everyone else.

My role isn’t to 'fix' you (you’re a human, not a broken toaster). My role is to walk the path with you, holding the lantern and occasionally pointing out that the 'giant monsters' in your head are actually just shadows. We are in this journey together. You bring the chaos; I’ll bring the calm. We'll find the ground; I promise.

Modern approach to therapy in Oregon

A Modern Approach to Growth

The days of lying on a couch while a therapist nods in silence are over. At Stone & Sapling, I believe therapy should be as dynamic and real as the life you’re living outside our sessions. My approach is designed for a generation that values authenticity over formality.

1. Collaboration, Not a Lecture

You aren’t a "patient" to be fixed; you’re the expert on your own experience. My role is to act as a grounded co-pilot; offering clinical insight and strategy while honoring your unique values and intuition. We work as a team to figure out what’s working and what isn’t.

2. Tools for Your Tuesday Morning

Insight is great, but it doesn’t always help when you’re spiraling at 10:00 AM on a workday. We balance deep exploration with practical, cognitive strategies. You’ll leave our sessions with tangible tools to manage anxiety, set boundaries, and navigate transitions in real-time.

3. Human-to-Human Connection

I show up as a real person. That means I bring compassion, a steady presence, and, when appropriate, a sense of humor. We can talk about the heavy stuff without it feeling too heavy to carry. If my dog snores in the background or you’re showing up in your favorite hoodie, that’s just part of the process.

4. Nature-Informed Perspective

Even in a digital world, we are rooted in biology. I use the "Stone & Sapling" philosophy to help you find your footing. We look at your environment, your "soil" (your support systems and habits), and your "roots" (your values) to ensure your growth is sustainable and strong.

"You can’t go back and change the beginning, but you can start where you are and change the ending."
